as for me i changed to 4 different faculties, first business, then pharmacy, then computer science, and after 5 month i will change to IT(information Technology)

i'm fucked wid all this shit, aghhh i need help :'(

i guess u mean profession. i dunno

neways, i'm goin for my accounting degree and i hate it. i'll still get my degree,try it out, and then decide what i wanna do with my life. i'd rather do shit with my life and live on the streets than have to go to school. its the stupidest thing ever invented. why cant we be like cave people and never have to do hard shit like go to school and deal with stupid teachers and professors. id rather live ina cave and hunt for food all day, naked.

Thats cool, i didnt think anybody else here did Architecture.

Right now im at the point were we constantly make Models and shit lol, and study shit like social studies. :smoking:

And the game business ambition does sound great, Level design is one of the most important things, and it gives almost unlimitted creative freedome.

1. Networks - Means that u are focused in da data communication area...Local area networks, network security, network configuration , server manipulations..
Suits u if ur intersted in networkin ... u get certificates like CISCO and stuff... its all about communication ...
and how to secure ur data

my opinion i got straight A's for data communication 1 , 2 , 3 and im plannin to do 4 next semester ,,, but im not gonna pursue that path....

2. Software Engineering - Developin software applications via a programming language..
Suits u if u like to develop algorithms , solutions to a problem domain... u will get da requirments and ur job is to analyze them and come up with a design ( some companies da BA , QA do da design ) but here in SL da SE do da design... and then u must realize ur design via a programming language which suits the most...it depends on da company ur workin..
i like da .NET framework..but i hv done java to some extent...
u hv so many languages like C, C++ , C# , VB , Java to develop stand alone apps...
and for web based apps u hv php , asp, jsp ...
p.s - wen i mention those languages it doesnt imply dat i know 100% out of dem..no body knows .. i only know da basics and den u always have da INTERNET and READIN is how u get there.... so dont be scared if a program sound complex.. just break it down and ull understand...

my opinion is dis da area to go if ur intersted in da codin areas. this is my career path im gonna pursue.. i will start as an associative software engineer and climb da ladder.and my ultimate goal is to hv a company of ma own...

3. Quality Assuarance Engineer - Well outta the areas this is da easiest area. Our graduates who are not good performers are entitled to this job..but if ur good and u join as a QA u cld become highly succesful.. da highest position of a SE & QA ends da same but da knowledge gathered is different.. SE knows da technical aspects..
it suits u if u like to analyze others works.. come up with designs. know ur UML diagrams.. like to use tools for metrics collections and make reviews..
my opinion wld be this is a good job if ur not intersted in SE.. good money.. and this is da easiest.. but wen i say easiest dont expect a walk in da park...its tirin .. ask d-fear , he is a QA engineer. and dat mofo comes home at abt 10 pm .... ( that happens wen a projet is ongoin )

4. Database / security - Well this is mostly tied wit SE.. but being a Database administrator is one of da most responsible and highly paid jobs.. as u know da data is wat defines a company.. so controllin it is a very very highly risky job
it suits u if ur in to Database management systems.. it includes mysql , sql server , oracle ... either way u hv to learn SQL and da specific language features...as in for microsoft sql server u must learn T-Sql which is a subset thats unique for MS SQL .. and for oracle its PL-SQl... i think trshady is on mysql since its on php...but cld differ
my opinion even though i got da highest results for DBMS 3 and DBMS 1 im not gonna pursue this area... kinda cumbersome work..but da pay is good...
p.s ... this job u wont get wen u start .. but as a promotion i think u will be in dis area...

5. Business Analyst - well this is a fun job.. u get to travel a lot and has da most customer interaction.. u will directly communicate wit da customer to get requirements ..and thus require lot of experience..
it suits u if ur good in communication, understandin da project scope , be innovative .. coz remember .da picture that da BA describes is da picture that SEs try to paint... so if da customer wants a picture of a elephant and if da BA understood it as a horse da SE is gonna develop a horse with an elephant trunk

my opinion i wld love this job but i aint gonna do this coz the highest node isnt as good as da others..but comparativly its goood...

there u go randy... i think its high time u leave da mic and focus on IT...
in ma institute there are people who are doin da degree just for da sake of gettin a degree and doin a non IT related job for a lower salary...
wen they start da course they are full of ambitions but a small slip can change the rest of da course..

for my case i never thought i wld be batch top in IT in da first semester .. i wasnt focused till dat happened.. if it didnt happen i dont think i cld have continued to get good results and thus leavin with a excellent gpa..
its all about motivation...

and da motive u have ryt now which is ' the easiest and good money ' aint gonna work coz those 2 aint tied... if u want good money u got to suffer..
but remember wen u climb da ladder da money is gonna come and da work load is gonna get easier ...
in da IT field da first 5 - 15 years is a struggle... u will have to work late till night ...u will get blamed , u will feel like killin ur self.. but den u get ur FIRST salary and everythins gonna change

.. wat im sayin is stay in IT... good field .. u shld know dat coz 2 of TRs greats are doin IT..me and TR ... lol .. so we can add randomghost to dat list

and as for ur music , keep doin that .. coz we also still doin it and we are successful at it ...

Computers is not the best choice for these years..
Theres too many people who know computers..
and too many who think they "know".

You have to be way above average.

If you're good in computers u can always get the computer job with another degree.

All im trying to say is... if ur just about to start college, THINK IT THROUGH, ive seen so many people fuck up like that just coz they thought they wanted that but changed. Myself included.
