depends. sometimes they're useful when you know you can rely on that second person, that he or she gonna help and support you when you need it.. blah blah blah, i can live without one.

Yeah I think relationships can be really nice if the other person actually fits into your life, but I think a lot of times it's more trouble than it's worth

Ive had 3 decent relationships, but me studying abroad and moving all the time always is a complication. I want to have only one sincere relationship at like 22-24 so i can get married at 25 and get one of them babies cooking in the oven.

I've gotta say I agree 500% with you on that atm.

Generally it's very individual how relationships work depending on who you're with or how good you (both - or all, if you're into stuff like that lol) are at maintaining them.

Relationships take a lot of hard work and quite an amount of skills to keep up. They can be the ultimate high and the ultimate low, there are so many inscrutable factors involved when it comes to relations between two people, and in an infinite number of ways things would certainly be a lot easier if you only had yourself to answer to, but there's also a lot of things you'd be missing out on, like e.g. the warm confortable feeling of actually being loved, which is a basic need for quite a lot of people, so I guess when it comes to a relationship you have to measure up the good and the bad, and if the bad outweighs the good then move on, but if the good outweighs the bad then learn how to cope with the bad stuff that's an inevitable part of human relations.

@Angie, I don't think people actually NEED a bf/gf they want the high they get from the good times that come from having a bf/gf and they describe it as needing a bf/gf because that's easier.

My guess is that that "need" often arises from the fear of being lonely, maybe even the fear of being unwanted, we all need confirmation in relation to various personal aspects and often we'll be seeking that confirmation from other people - having a bf/gf gives us confirmation that at least some aspects of us are ok and "lovable". I'm not saying it's like this for all people, but I think it is for many.

I've been in relationship with a guy who lives faar away -_-" and we didn't see each other much so that's not really good :') ;/ But if i would live in the same place then it would be ok

well im with this girl right now and she seems to treat me right! i could live without one know problem...but if your with one atleast you have someone thats there for you all the time...you get some of dat ass whenever you want....right now i am currently on house arrest which she comes over and makes house visits hahahah! so yea it all depends on the relationship and how both act with different things...you need some simularities
