sick of 'letter to obama' songs and props to LL cool J

Postby pawel » Oct 20th, '08, 16:57

wasn't sure were to posted, thought this would do it.

I don't give a shit about who will be president, I don't have an opinion about any of them, because I am not from the US, won't vote anyway and stuff. but it really drive me crazy that almost every single rapper raps about yeah obama is gonna be president, and omg he's the king, that kind of stuff. I think Joell Ortiz did a pretty good one, he didn't worship too much or wasn't saying people should vote on him, but with that track he shows he's a 100% sure Obama's gonna be chosen. and there's really much tracks being put out. and P.Diddy dissing McCain all the time is pretty disturbing as well.
And I think it's really good that LL Cool J just makes a track about president without judging any person. just to the president that is and will come.

just wanted to say that, because it really is driving me crazy.

I wish people in Sweden could be more interested in politics as they are in the US. Even though we don't have a president, but still.
I think it's good that rappers are getting involved in this and showing what candidate they support and all, but I think most of them, since it's mostly black rappers we talk about here, are just supporting Obama for the simple fact that he's black and has the chance to become USA's first black president ever. And that's wrong if that really is the case.
Personally, I think Obama will win and I'm really happy about it, because I've read a lot about him and he seems to be the perfect president for what he have accomplished in the past. Having a tough background growing up in "the ghetto" and all, and still being able to become a senator and all.

I'm not saying I like all these political songs, but I don't dislike them either. Because the rappers are standing for what they believe in and doesn't let anybody push them down.

Obama for president. :8)
