'Extreme Makeover' Meets Critic's Section

Alright, we are be going to make a huge makeover on this new section, make it hip and all that. Anways, belows is a "Map Sketch" of what to expect the new layout to look like.

Alright, so bascially what this is trying to represent is that it starts with the Entertainment Section, then it breaks off into the "Sub Forum - Critics Section". Alright, and from there, so Members don't get confused and have to scroll and search through a thousand topics of movies, just to find a book review. So how do we solve that problem? We create (5) Sub-Sub Forums, it's time consuming to set up, but once you do, it's pure amazing. The Five Sub-Sub Forums would be as follows:

1.) Request Section - Here, any member can create a topic, and reply. This gives the Critics staff a chance to put what members want to discuss in the right Thread, instead of having our PM's flooded and all that. Just have to set up a system/guidelines, which souldn't take no time at all.

Two, Three, and Four's Sub-Sub Forums - Would be where each main category gets posted. Only movies under movies, Only music under music, and only Books under Books.

The Fifth and final Sub-Sub Forum will be for TV Shows: Let me use CSI for example. The Critic assigned to do TV Series reviews can create the topics, seperately, and then I, myself, will sticky them. And then inside the topics, the Critic can put the latest episode/season, and post a summary of what's happened up to date, or a list of episodes and a little comment/summary about each. And they can add their own touches aswell, make it original. We are going to do it where topics will contain only one season from a certain show(Ex: CSI Season One, CSI Season 2, CSI Season 3). That way everyone will know what happens in each season and the changes that are being made to make the current season. (But under no circumstances shall a topic be made for a single episode unless it's the "Episodes Current Season's Finale", but before they can create that topic, they will the to get the Critic Section's Mod for approval.


Alright, that sums up on what to expect from TR over the next month. This is going to be a time consuming project, and Maybe is working constantly to try and troubleshoot the problem's he's encounting. Now, as you can see we have a vas variety of topics, and there's only 3 Critcs: Myself (Movies, Books, and TV Shows), Ice Killa (Books), and Shadybaby101(Music). We are in need of much assistance. Stated earlier, you must be an active - even obsessed - member and not the type of person to cause controversy and you must have all the latest, greatest, up-and-coming information. If you are interested, and let's say you'd like to do more than one Topic, you will have to contact me and state what topic's you're interested in. We hope you will enjoy the Forum(s) once we can get all the kinks worked out!

To the public I'm not 100 percent sure, but by adding all the extras, that'll take atleast a month since they're having trouble shooting issues right now as is...

Just a suggestion, but for TV series sticky, instead of listing all the seasons, you should make a thread per show and update the seasons through that thread and link that thread onto the sticky. Like you have the sticky on top giving you South Park, which links to a thread that has South Park seasons 1-12, and then each link brings you to a different review page. I'm only suggesting this because the TV series list will become really long if you guys list every season of every TV series (especially if you do shows like Simpsons and South Park). Just a suggestion though .

Instead of doing

It would make things cleaner if you just did Criminal Minds and that takes you to another thread with

Criminal Minds Season One
Criminal Minds Season Two
...

And then each of those would link to the actual review thread. So you're adding in a middle man so to speak.

I only suggest this because if someone does a TV series like Simpsons or Southpark, there would be a lot of scrolling to do because each season is listed. Also, it makes it easier to edit in new seasons right?

Another advantage is that it would make organizing in the long run easier. If someone started a Siimpsons review and I wanted to add a season, instead of scrolling through a giant thread with every TV show and their seasons, you can just find the title of the series: Simpsons, and then click the link to the thread that contains only the Simpson series and edit that.

Anyways, just a suggestion. It's fine the way it is now, but I just feel in the long run, it would be easier/more organized. Hope that makes sense- I suck at explaining things .

I completely understand you now and that'll be corrected when the whole system gets set up. I will notify the others aswell...
