I download all past releases. Like if I'm just getting into an artist, I'll download (for free) all their past stuff. But if they are releasing something new and I'm a fan, I'll buy it if I have $$ to spare.

Only if something really stands out for me opposed to the other things out I will buy it.

Just to support the artist and his/her creativity, to really own something you can touch (a nice case and booklet and all that), the audio quality etc.

Otherwise I will just download. And I never bought something on Itunes.

I used to do that with artists I wasn't that familiar with.

But as I got older I just became a music collectionist. I like to have as many CD's as possible. You can get several classic albums on eBay very cheaply :y:

I actually never tought of buying CDs on Ebay, but I like the idea.

Dont they have scratches and all that?

Shouldn't this be in Serious Topic....anyway I think people should buy the album....I mean if you could download an ipod and it just appeared in your room I bet they would find a way to counteract that wouldn't they. I buy my albums and then DL them on my ipod after but make sure I support artists I like. Idk its 50/50 for me

i used to always download from limewire til about a year ago...but now i usually buy from itunes, or buy the cd, unless it's an artist i'm not familiar with, not sure if i'll like or something, or if it's a rare song then i'll download from youtube. But mostly itunes & cd's :y:

I don't have the money to buy every single project that my favourite artists bring out, so, I do download illegal music on occasion.
