I thought this would be a good topic, if people give honest, thoughtful replies.
What advice would you give to others? Very simple question, here's mine for now.
One thing I would tell others, is that in life there are times that are great, it can be a year in high school or college, it can be a week in the summer at the beach, to a great day in sports with your teammates and friends. But, no matter how great certain times were, I feel that if you try to relive them, or top them, you're going about it the wrong way. I have realized in my almost 23 years that the great times were great for a reason, don't worry about trying to have them happen again, just live life and let more good times happen...that's my advice.
The reason I say this is simple. I graduated college this past Spring, and many of my good friends are now seniors. I miss them, and I miss those great times living with them and having everyday be something special. But I have realized now that they're back in school, and since I live close to my college (25 mins), I can go see them whenever I want. But I've realized that the great times we had cannot be duplicated, and in trying to go back and have them happen again, by worrying about the old times together and hoping it'll be the same, I know it won't. So I have to just live life, visit them and just go with the flow, and only then will good times happen again.
