The source was Mike and Mike in the Morning on ESPN Radio. The ref's statement was that he missed the call bc he was watching for possession of the ball, which was his job. so he did not see the facemask. If he did he would not have been doing his job.

And you obviously missed the part in the rulebook about facemasks being judgment calls of the referees. If the ref didn't see it, he can't make a judgment about it. Bottom line.

@Macdaddy - The packers probably wouldnt have lost that game given the amount of momentum they obtained and how many points the cardinals gave up in the second half. Id say that was a lucky cardinals win by the end of the game.
