What Dreams

Postby gutawafang » Feb 4th, '10, 04:32

Whether it's black or grey, no matter how it saturates
It's in the same range of feelings, and it elevates
Rises the tension, the stress, the pressure you face
High when you climb, you walk in a weathering pace
The dreams you capturing, seeing your goal in the dark
Cuz it's gold from the start, it's your role, it's your part
To embrace it, to take it, and keep it in your pocket
Walk with it up in the air, proud on that red carpet
No matter how it slips, long as you won't sleep
Long it's a promise to keep, as long as you don't trip
That thing you're reaching for, keep stretching your arms
Till you get what you want, right in your palms
It's still a must, and you'll die not having it
That's why you try getting it, but you're actually leaving it
Living it, no, you ain't receiving it
Your aim was it, so just keep believing it

Fuck dreams, they ain't happening, even if we need it
Even if it's because I ain't bouncing back when I'm defeated
But I ain't a basketball, just let me lie forever
I'm biting, you get it? Just let me LIE forever
To myself, to you, to the rest of the world
To tell us that dreams never had taste like a girl
How can dreams be sweet? It's a fucking nightmare
Every war that we fight in, we fucking fight bare
Why should I care? Ambitions you have, or aspirations
They're just a bunch of bananas I had to be eaten
So now that I'm screaming over this guitar beat
I'm confessing my dream, to that one thing at the far seat
Across that valley of dragons, of three sunsets per day
What's the point of explaining that my upset delayed
So fuck you, we ain't living it cuz we ain't receiving it
Our aim was it, but why should I believe in it?
