Why were Proof's D12 verses so short?

I like D12's stuff, but it annoys me whenever I listen to a track cus it always seems like Em and Bizarre dominate the songs. I can understand Em having longer verses but Bizarre is awful. Then you get to Proof and he's spitting absolute fire and the next thing you know his verse is finished as quick as it started.

It's weird cus his D12 verses were as good, if not better as Em's.

I never understood this.

True. I guess D12 were trying for shock value so putting Bizarre on longest makes sense. Dissapointed that rap fans didnt get to hear more Proof lines though, he was so dope!

Honestly, if it had been flipped D12 would have been so much more listenable. Take Purple Pills, Proof kills that song and you wanna hear more but it ends abruptly. Kinda weird considering Proof was the one who formed it and all.

Yeah, they would've actually been seen as a good rap group instead of Em's little buddies. I mean Proof was really good (RIP) and should have been on more songs and longer verses. However, Bizzare seems to have really long verses always talking stupid shit. Take pimp like me, good song overall and they have nice verses, then bizarre comes, sounds like he's talking, not even rhyming or flowing to the beat and is saying stupid shit and makes the song plummet in terms of quality.

I agree, no idea. Proof was easily the #2, a very brilliant lyricist.

His solo album I consider a classic.

I'm also bemused at Bizarre having so much time to... Not shine. He's fucking abysmal in every sense. He's not shocking, despite trying cringeworthingly hard to be, he's lame, not witty, can't rhyme, can't flow. He's a joke and doesn't deserve to call himself a rapper.

Bizarre fucked up so many classic songs. "Fight Music"... I mean why the fuck put him on that. All the verses are great and Em's is just chillingly superb then you have that pathetic piece of shit talking about his grandmother tossing him off again. It's not even executed well, at all.

He also fucks up "Revelation", all superb verses bar his. He's on like everything, I don't understand how the others in it can possibly see him as valuable or why they let him ruin such great songs.

True it was a bit harsh but Bizarre just irritates me so much. Imagine how Em & D-12 would be right now if they didn't lose Proof. Plus he was a great rapper.

Have you got his solo album "Searching For Jerry Garcia" it is good worth a look also em said that there is a lot of proof material that people haven't heard and he's keen to get it out so people can really appreciate how good proof was so we may see some posthumous releases and verses on the next d12 album.
