By waltz I mean dancing to 3/4 timed music. Most people are used to dancing to 4/4 common time rhythms, so it's more challenging.

Waltz yup! I know what youre talking about. I need more practice because I havent done it in awhile but once I get into it, I cant stop. I enjoy tango a little more.. its okay though because I like the challenge. I dont know many guys that do it. Do you take classes ?

I don't believe in taking lessons because they destroy my chances of acquiring individual style.
I was born with a metronome in my head, so to speak, so it comes pretty naturally.
I still like contra dancing better than any other style. It gives me a pleasant high.
Well... unless pit moshing is considered to be a dance style.

lol Very impressive GGGG. I took classes when I was younger but before that I feel I had natural rhythm as well
