ps3 fat or ps3 slim

i want to buy a ps3
so which one is better to buy ?

and how much the fat one cost?

By all reviews the PS3 Slim is better, not so much performance wise but in the general feel of the console, if you go for the decent one you get a fairly decent hard drive too (although thankfully unlike Microsoft (the robbing bastards) you can upgrade the Hard Drive in your playstation without much effort).

I personally still have the Revision 1 Fat PS3, but thats because of the Legacy PS2 support (and no emulation ) these aren't sold now so not an option

You can get a 250 gig PS3 slim for 350 American dollars.

I like the extra storage, but fat 60 gigs and 80 gigs boast backwards compatibility to play PS2 games. They are cheaper, but they'll generally be used or refurbished systems.

If you already have a PS2, or don't plan on playing PS2 games, I'd go with a new slim.

The 120 gig slim costs about 300 American dollars.

Slim is better overall. My friend sold his fat one to buy the slim one. And he's a crazy gamer, so basically he's usually right. Slim is also very portable.

The fat one looks much better. Slim one kinda pisses me off how it looks shit but its overall a better console. Put looks aside and get the slim. It's a pain in the ass if you get the fat one and then some new bug just happens to pop out during your time and pow there goes your PS3.

I prefer the slim to the fat ones, the sleek design was cool, but my buddy had one and there were finger prints all over it and shit

plus the slim is way more quiet.

i have a fat and let me tell you, fat is better almost at everything, it have the other os, which means linux for you, it is hack-able soon, it has 4 usb ports, it has 3 different memmory card readers, it is beutiful and so on.
but, it's really heavy in a way that you can build muscles with it, it takes more electricity tham slim ones and has a bit chance of bricking and overheating.
but again, fat 60 gigs and 80 gigs of usa (whic have 4 usb port also can play ps2 games so games like mgs and ico are possible to be played, but there are some games that doesn't work good for various reasons, but many games work good.
yet again there is these words about a fully functioning ps2 emulator comig out soon.

the choice is yours, and remember best series of sony consols always were the fat ones, in playstation, ps2, psp or ps3.

I'd go with the slim and just keep the PS2 to play PS2 games on.
