Genre

Gothic Nü Metal

When it comes to Nü Metal...

... Coal Chamber is where it's at.
I never got into Korn, never got into Slipknot, or Limp Bizkit, or P.O.D., but Chamber was a perfect fit for me.
Their concoctive blend of heaviness, catchiness, and darkness makes for the most distinguishable sound in all of nu metal. Why this band wasn't as popular as their contemporaries, I'll never understand.
The riffs and hooks that they come up with are just so irresistibly addictive, non-metal listeners have to stop themselves from banging their heads to it.
And that chick bass player is so goddamned cute.

I'll give it a listen. :y:

On a slow connection, I'll edit this post after I get a song loaded...

---------------------------------

Seem to have a rhythmic style, at least on Sway. Checked out Loco, but it was too...er, Loco, for me...It's interesting stuff. They seem to kind of move past simple noise that I can't help but feel some metal acts do. They have some interesting guitar riffs, based on each of those songs.

I don't seem to be able to get into metal, though. I think I like lyrics alot, and that hinders me from getting into some forms of music. However, I agree, these guys should've easily been as popular as any of their counterparts, during their time.
