It's okay. Doesn't really bother me either way although for sake of discussion... I prefer the other one slightly I suppose.

But probably because I was so used to it.

Like has already been said, I'm sure people will adapt. It does feel like they're changing design elements for the sake of it every so often though. Which Google often do just to make it feel like things are always changing.
