I fuckin hate that. It's such an ignorant and pathetic cop-out statement to make.I got mates who say that and they've probably only heard like 0.0001% of hip hop and that'd be the commercial stuff you hear on MTV and the radio. Fuckin' does my head in.

And the "rap music is all about guns and hoes" line which, again, is pure bullshit.

I know man, its a pain in the balls when people say that, and as you said, its usually from people who haven't much/any hiphop outside of the mainstream stuff. In fairness, if I never heard hiphop outside of the stuff that gets played on the radio/MTV, I wouldn't like it either (for the most part anyway)

I do give Em credit though, even people who hate mainstream hiphop can appreciate his work, on the flipside, I know people who hate Em because he's mainstream, which is just fuckin' ridiculous

Word to dR.dR3. Most of the people at my school bump Forever and Drop The World at most, but still say Eminem is the worst part of the song. Out of no where I was approached a couple days ago by this dude who was like "Yo Eminem sucks unless its on a featuring song" and im like "Okay I dont care what does this have to do with anything going on right now" like lmao so random right. But whatever, these people can stay with their Justin Bieber and Flo Rida for all I care.

Girls were asking me if I heard "The Warning" and the "Drop the world" and a whole discussion broke out on why Eminem is better than Wayne.

hmm.. I don't really care about complex rhyme schemes either. What struck me as an Eminem's fans is how he connect & express himself to people through his lyrics with such emotions. I do like his flows though.

Beautiful is so cheesy, even if I ignored the rhymes and just look at the lyric like a pop fan I would still see that one got thoughtful/edgy lyric and one got awkward/cheesy lyric. Not to mention the chorus sounds like something boyband would sing. I also relate to Deja Vu's more for personal reason. Both songs have great beats though.
