Is this possible today?

Postby clustr » Apr 21st, '10, 12:51

I got bored a little so i watched some Eminem interviews on YT and i stumbled over this one here:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ter92m9e ... re=related

and i got excited about how all the fans in the studio and especially on the streets went all out for just seeing eminem back in 2002. Do you think that Em would be able to attract those masses again somwhere in time? I honestly think he couldn't do that anymore because there wasn't such a buzz when relapse was announced and so i think this won't happen again somewhere in the future.

but why?

is it just because relapse wasn't as (commercially) successful as his first 3 (maybe 4) albums were? or are there other reasons for that? Like maybe he isn't as known as he was back then when all the media talked about his controversial lyrics because the public got used to it by now... i don't know, tell me your opinios :)

best regards

Well even if he has the same amount of fans there will never be that much excitement again because he isn't new.

he's not new news anymore yo' NO ONE can keep people that excited if they're already in business for 10+ years. That's just natural.
He is a legend and will continue be successful even base on his fanbase alone though. But like I said, he's not new news anymore. He's already been overexposed in the past that nowadays we only have his music to talk about.
