Actually, Eminem is a very skilled mechanic. Those scenes from 8 Mile were real. The car didn't want to run and during a break, Em started to work on it, and the director started shooting it to add to the realism. The whole "Sweet Home Alabama" thing was completely improvised as well.

yeah, especially on the Beautiful thing. A lot of artists do the countdown thing (like b.o.b lately), BUT they choose the songs that are not gonna singles while Em's team put on Beautiful, at that time before the album release Beautiful already peaked at sale, so after that when the video is out (July lol) it can't re-peak. All in all the promotion team for Relapse was stupid, from choosing singles to promote them.
