I just dont see why you got so offended? I just stated my opinion that i hated the whole 'stoner' culture. Just thought I'd note that cannabis is seen more as a culture in the United States because our prohibition laws have driven it underground. It wouldn't nearly be as bad as it is if we had laws like the dutch. There wouldn't be a whole section of our society that's been ostracized by our own government, prompting them to cling to one thing that holds them all together--at least that wouldn't be true for our marijuana community.

No big deal, but I'm sure your views are shaped by your surroundings. Where you're from, it's not a big deal. So you smoke? Who cares! Nothing too special.

Here though, it's a way of knowing what type of person you are, almost immediately. If you smoke weed, that means you have a certain mindset about things that led you to breaking an unjust law. You will tend to hang out with a certain type of people, and will probably have a general mistrust of the police--something other smokers can agree with wholeheartedly.

Anyway, I get where you're coming from, but perhaps this can shed a little light on where these other people are coming from. The Cannabis Culture isn't so much about Cannabis--it's about civil disobedience towards an unjust law, and people uniting in allegiance against police that treat them like criminals. This is the truth of the matter, even if the pothead doesn't recognize it at first.

Dude I am from fuckin Utah, I just smoke weed.. other than that i am a good person.. personally I don't see weed as a drug so its just chill.. its a whole lot better and safer than alcohol and it doesn't hamper my ability to do something and it doesn't make me lazy or unsuccessful. I am one of those people who can be way successful and still toke... I'm in college about to get my bachelors.. I make 2,000 a month at my job working full time, I have a beautiful fiance.. I'm only 20 years old. so for people to call me a junkie or think I am some heroin addict because I smoke weed is frustrating.. I am a normal person I just enjoy smoking weed. there is no culture involved.. I am not standing up for marijuana in this arguement with slimm.. I am standing up for myself because it is what I LIKE to do and the only reason I made this topic is because I thought other people would enjoy it, its not like I made it for myself..

I'm just saying marijuana doesn't effect my success, I didn't mean it personal I am just saying I could smoke all day and be just as successful as I would be without smoking.. if anything it makes me more creative.. for example I play piano a little bit and when I play piano sober I play OK.. when I play high I make up these crazy songs when i'm jamming with my friends lol.. a lot of people are lazy and become less successful I am just stating that I am not one of those people.. its kinda like a stereotype.
