No. Punch-ins is for lazy people who aren't willing to do it all in one take cause it would mean they would have to write their shit out better and write it to the capability of their breathing. And honestly if you can't spit your verse in one take, then re-write it, cause if you can't spit it in one take, then you obviously need work, therefore by doing punch-ins, you are acting bigger than who you are. And performing it live will embarrass you...

If punch-ins makes the music sound better, then go ahead and do it if you want to.
All I know is that I wouldn't do it, because of what Xray said, if you get the chance to perfrom it, it's going to be a little weird.

I always try to do the whole verse in on take, but I have no problem at all with people using punch-ins.

Why would anybody be worried about my preformance anyways..after im done recording and everythings done, i have no problem reciting it, I use punch ins for the creation of the song. I want it to be listenable. and be at it's best, It's just a matter of how it's done, It's not like i punch in every 2-4 bars either... I would take out 8 bars at a time, Which in my opinion, cant make the song sound bad....Plus where i would originally be outta breath, ive been finding room to take breaths. It all comes with "Getting better". anyways still dont undrstand how this effects anyone in a negative way..i mean if it makes my music sound like shit, and your music sound better...Isn't that A positive for you.


A song will be around forever.. after it's been recorded, why not at least try to make it sound Good.?

I've used punch-ins too and it's not that I can't rap the whole verse in one take, but it's just the smart way to do it. Especially if it's for a recording that you're going to be hearing forever after. Make every line sound perfect and NEVER will you get every line how you want it in one take. Punching in helps with that. Every good rapper does it and they understand it's reasoning. X-Ray you're just hating.

but besides that I agree, Audio Stage is wack as fuck right now, I haven't heard a dope song or downloaded one in a while. I think it's time for the so called best rappers on TR to step up their game.
