the drums are HORRIBLE. hell, they're even worse than Eminem's drums in 2002 - 2004

They're not noticable when you're paying attention to Eminem and not the drums which aren't that bad.

The experimentation with other producers is off to a bad start. Everything about the verses are fucking out of this world but the beat makes it nearly unlistenable for me.

Way too Drake/Wayne reminiscent and it's actually rather upsetting. All his classic, huge hits prior to this were really nice and had the pop sensibilities but they never imitated what other people were doing. I feel like this has stepped over the line AND I BLAME BOI 1DA!!!

I'm really really really really really really REEEEEAAAALLY hoping this is just a way for him to work his way back onto the charts and the Blaze/Dre/Em produced tracks are different.

So you would SERIOUSLY like another "I'll dress myself as other celebrities and make fun of 'em"-song? And to compare this with Drake? Oh my god.

It's ok in my opinion his opinion is worthless and that hes a moron.

Yeah man! I agree! Anyone who questions the almighty Boi 1da is completely moronic!

That's not what I'm saying. Don't put words in my mouth. The beat of Without Me, We Made You, The Real Slim Shady, etc. had NOTHING to do with the lyrics.

I have no beef with the lyrics in Not Afraid, I just hate the beat.

And I'm not comparing Em's lyrics to Drake, I'm comparing the beat to a beat I'd expect Drake to rap over. Which is fair enough considering Boi 1da has produced a lot of tracks for Drake.

I know you never complained about the lyrics, but with those verses I find it almost impossible to even think about if the beat is perfect or just okey.

Amadeo wrote:even the lyrics aren't that great. they're pretty good. the chorus is really catchy.

He should be apologizing for Encore, not Relapse

i seriously don't know what the fuck he's thinking when it comes to saying Relapse was bad & apologizing for it. it was a fucking good album. why would a sober Eminem release it if he didn't think it was good? has he been listening to popular opinion? so much for the line "I don't give a damn what you think" in the song.

the song isn't bad. but man... i'm expecting more from Recovery.

because he realize Relapse is ass and has no relay value? sorry but it takes mad courage for him to come out and admit that. Everyone loved Relapse when it was leaked, but then months later they realized it lacks a direction & replay value, Em is human and he feel the music the same like we do. Just because you like Relapse doesn't mean he has to like it too. He's DEFINITELY not in the same state of mind when he made Relapse, not in 'killer mode' anymore, that's why.

Yeah, that's fair enough. Each to their own. For me, the beat plays a huge role in whether I like or dislike a song. I personally think this song would've been much better if Eminem produced the beat, buuut no use whining about it.

I'm just gonna hope the rest of Recovery is more to my taste.
