I see some people hatin' on the beat and I don't get it. The way this song is is supposed to have a simple, subtle beat. The great thing about N.A are the lyrics.

See I don't think he was appologizing for it too much, I think he just meant it was a bit...off, I personally still enjoy the album, but maybe he thinks compared to what he could have put out it was lacking especially since he used the accent a lot. I don't think he regrets it, I think he just see's Recovery as an improvment.
