Illmatic is too old school for my taste, I can't really listen to it regularly.
I don't really like the SSLP too, but it has a few songs that I listen to regularly.

Good question. I find SSLP more entertaing and probably more creative, but Illmatic more uplifting and it's so sharp lyrically, it makes me love listening to it more, without getting boring

I cant really say if I'm honest. Maybe SSLP by a tad, even though I prefer Illmatic as a whole.

Illmatic

SSLP does not have as much replay value because first of all, it has skits. Thank god Eminem's skits are usually entertaining but I'd rather not have them. Plus, quite a few songs are just plain stupid. I love every song on that album but I can't take it as seriously, the retardedness of some songs does lose replay value. Illmatic is just 10 songs which flowly very nicesly towards each other.

I'd say SSLP. I love illmatic, it's an amazing album, but I find some of the songs on SSLP more replayable than some on Illmatic.

based on experience, it's SSLP by a longshot. I've had them both since about 1998-1999, and since then i go through many stages where i throw on SSLP again, and Illmatic not as much at all.

The Slim Shady LP has more replay value for me.

Illmatic feels very rich and Nas' flow feels funky and the music jazz-inspired but Em's album is obviously more, well not obviously more but for me - More entertaining. It's more striking, more artistic, more original, more catchy and therefore has more replay value IMO.

Also, I love basically every song on SSLP and can listen to it right through. Where as I don't love every song on Illmatic. They're all good songs but I don't love them all, I only truly love a handful of them.
