How can you say an opinion isn't worth anything or doesn't count?

The point of an opinion is that it is personalised in its view, it doesn't have to make logical sense necessarily. Whether people respect your opinion or not, is irrelevant. Unless you're saying, who sells the best? Or who's the most successful? Then it's not opinions it's fact.

But to try and argue that musical taste isn't completely all down to opinion is ignorant. A person may like a rapper that is less lyrical better because he likes their voice better. But imagine if someone came on to a thread saying 'Busta>>>>Crooked I', it'd be like.. you know nothing..

What happens when you don't use "IMO"? You realize that it's redundant, and you state your opinions freely, and back them up extensively, defending them when necessary--what happens then?

I can't stand people saying shit like "This song was dope IMO" after a majority of people have already said they really liked it. That's about it. And sometimes typing "in my opinion" seems more serious than "IMO" as someone mentioned earlier. As for smileys.
