Well, as a law-abiding citizen, I've never done any drugs...ever.

But, academically speaking...I were to do drugs, it would be the ones I listed, and I would steer clear of DXM.

While the previously mentioned drugs are psychedelics, DXM is more along the lines of a disassociative, and as such, may be linked to Olney's Lesions in the brain. Olney's Lesions are basically kind of like tiny little holes.

While most traditional psychedelics are physically safe, dissassociative drugs, like DXM, may be linked to brain damage.

I've read that it's nothing like how it was described in Fear and Loathing. Is this true?

Well I just looked into it myself and I think it can damage your brain but thats with heavy daily use some people do it like 4 times a week and thats just stupid
I only do it like once every 2 months

I have only read a small bit of information about Adrenochrome, but my understanding is that it is a product of the decomposition of adrenaline. Structurally, both Mescaline and Lysergic acid contain a biochemically similar relationship.

It's also been suggested that Schizophrenia may have something to do with Adrenochrome production.

So based on my minimal knowledge, I'd say it's probably less visually striking, but certainly strange to the mind, much like a psychedelic would be.

Yes, I've heard Ether is pretty crazy.

He describes disassociatives well in that narrative.

"You can see yourself behaving in this way, but cannot do anything to stop it", or something along those lines.

I'm not sure if I would do Ether, personally, but he does make it look entertaining.

Never have.

I don't have any experience with Benzodiazepines, as I'm more fond of Opiates. However, I have messed around with Kava Kava, and I understand that it has Benzo activity.

Very loose feeling...relaxing, yet euphoric. Drunkeness without the toxic feeling.

Heaven.
I had it before a major surgery, and instead of being nervous about getting cut open, I was hoping my blissful experience would never end.
That's how strong it is.
