Do you think TRL ending affected Eminem?

I mean back when he was popular, TRL helped promoted him and his singles. If TRL was still going, do you think Eminem would have been more popular in his comeback?

thats a good observation, cause trl used to play his videos a lot. Honestly tho. if MTV was how it used to be (Music Television) then music videos and songs in general would be much popular. Dont u guys remember the days when music videos were awesome to watch on tv? now every things seen on the internet. sucks

Yeah but not everybody uses the internet to search for Eminem . Atleast I don't think casual fans do that.

If TRL was still around AND Em had rushed out a good "Crack a Bottle" video when the song was relevant, I think his comeback would have been huge. And then "We Made You" would have fucked it up again.

Honestly, yes. TRL helped a lot of artists back in the day. But show management changed, hosts were changed and it got increasingly less popular. If anything I blame MTV for its downfall. MTV's disregard for the music industry period played part in the downfall of music videos on TV. TRL helped MAKE artists. Em would definitely / has definitely acknowledged that.
MTV needs a new countdown show like TRL. Why'd they get rid of FNMTV? Em wouldve done better on N or TRL than AMTV.
