Because it didn't surface until 2002 and The Marshall Mathers LP was released 2000. So unless he could take that issue and go back in time to apply it, kind of difficult.

He was embodying everything popular culture / the media was misunderstanding him as after the first album, for that second album. He's continued to persona-juggle throughout his career but it was only truly the point of the SECOND album.

THAT is why. And he was embodying the things he was being misunderstood for at that time, not the desperate attempts to discredit his hip-hop credibility by a failed fucking loser (Benzino) years later. I don't need to know what's on his mind to understand his art. He makes that pretty clear through his methods.

You just need to NOT be an idiot (like you) to get it. Now, I have things to do. Continue losing a battle you cannot win because it's born out of ignorance and not taste through true understanding.

Things to do? Like what? Wack off to some Eminem interviews? You obviously waste a lot of time over analyzing Eminem's ENTIRE career. Get a life....

Well, I don't care really what you're like on the inside and I just really want you to come to bed with me. Would you do that if you could? Even if you were just average on the outside (but not fat) I could like you if you sounded smart.

No I actually have to finish up a client's website as I own / run a web design business. Then I'm going for a drink with a friend (something you're no doubt unfamiliar with).

I don't waste time overanalyzing it, it doesn't take much effort. I've grown up on his music but the summations of these responses have been apparent to me for years and instantly from hearing the album.

It's in fact you who spends the time wasting his life doing what you say I do. Hence this fucking thread.

I very much prefer the Furiza and Boo sagas, but the Seru saga is good too.

MMLP and Encore are both good.

EminemBase wrote:People who go on about him bashing gays on MMLP quite clearly do not understand irony. It's so fucking stupid to actually say he's gay bashing as if with no jest with this album.

He couldn't make it MORE obvious. I mean "The Way I Am" says it all. I AM WHATEVER YOU SAY I AM. Due to confusion / assumptions / accusations the first time round he's simply embodying any critcisms / accusations and BECOMING those things.

That's why he BECOMES a gay basher, he becomes vile, he becomes hate, he embodies all these things people were saying he was the first time round out due to the misunderstanding of art and he ramps it up ten fold. He didn't need to perform with Elton John to make it clear he's not homephobic. It was obvious from day one to anybody with half a fucking brain.

I mean it couldn't be more blatant baiting. More obvious, in your face, childhood tactics. Yet these people still picketed the album (WITH GENUINE INTENT) for the exact things he's button-pushing on... Ironically. . I mean how fucking moronic can you get. It's actually hilarious looking back. It's still hilarious, because some people still do not get it.

It's also ridiculous attaching all these things, ironic or not to him as an individual. It's like taking what a comedian says and printing that as his opinion. No, he's saying these things to be funny. It's supposed to be shocking / edgy / whatever, that's why he's a comedian. And Eminem is a lyricist. So he's supposed to provoke, supposed to push the envelope, supposed to be daring and original. That to me is what a true artist does.

If you're just safe and compromising then you're nothing. Being safe and watered down, it's just pointless. It's not fun to be part of the crowd. It's far cooler to be an outsider with everybody wanting to stand with you. And any great artist provokes this reaction. This is why to me, Drake, Wayne, people like this. They aren't great artists. Some people may like their music, find them catchy / enjoyable... Whatever. But artistically, they're not doing anything.

Doing what you say I do?
That doesn't make any sense?
Don't fucking lie, you don't even have any friends you probably live at your parents house at home all day researching what type of clothes and socks Eminem wears and why he wears them and what they symbolize. LOL like a fucking loser. Look at your name "EminemBase", nuff said.
