And I think comparing running a website supporting and promoting Eminem to taking Paparazzi pictures is absurd.
It'd just be best if we didn't speak to each other as we don't agree on much and it just turns into pointless misunderstandings. So I'll just leave you and leave me.
Well saying you promote Eminem is absurd, cuz promotion means financial or whatever advantage for the party that's been promoted and the fact is Eminem won't get anything out of your website while you could get plenty using his name/face etc on it, that's why his camp tries to desperately stop all this "promotion" on youtube at the first place and people's accounts have been heavily erased that last week cuz of that kinda "promotion", eventhough youtube is gigantic website and would give Eminem plenty more options if he needed it. I am sure you're inteligent and you'd know the difference.
Rather than that I think you're pretty right about the rest and it's fair enough if we didn't speak so I could say I wish you all the best on personal or profesional level.
Actually anything with his face on it is promotion. Anything which contributes AT ALL in any shape or form to the advertisement of something / someone is promotion.
I'm not saying I've been appointed or that I'm seriously helping Eminem's career, but comparing running a website to taking paparazzi shots is totally absurd. I run the website to update fans with news and to build a community and a site filled with related media. It ISSSS promotion.
As for 'his camp' taking down YouTube vids. That's not his camp and they're not doing it because they don't like people promoting Eminem. That is Universal Music Group who own the rights to the music distributed through all Interscope (and many others) artists. They were blocking them because they were throwing their toys out the pram for not receiving enough of the advertising cut from Google.
But now that they're back on terms, that's why they no longer block videos and you can upload it to see that all that will happen is ads get placed on and / or next to your videos. It's not an issue of morals or what they want for their artists. It's an issue of $$$ as always.
Once again though, this is not comparable to running a fansite. And yes it's best we leave each other alone, I wasn't bothering you so I'd appreciate it if you just leave me too. Thanks.
