Anybody else notice how the production on the SSLP sounds WAYY outdated compared to the MMLP? i mean, they were only a year apart and when you compare them the MMLP sounds like it could have been made today, it still sounds new. how is there such a drastic change in quality in only a year?

Dre made more beats on MMLP also Em and the Bass Bros got better.

mmlp didnt have the high pitched voice, so theres gonna be a big gap

TMMLP and TSSLP weren't really 1 year apart. Aside from the Dre produced tracks, the rest of the album is from 1997-ish. The songs off the SSEP were either re-done or polished up...But obviously a semi-underground album (which is what the SSLP is) is going to have a different sound than one created with completely state of the art equipment.

^ Well, SSEP was in 97' yes but they only re-did three songs from that for SSLP. Which were - "If I Had", "97' Bonnie and Clyde" and "Just Don't Give a Fuck". And I also think "Rock Bottom" he wrote around 97...

Everything else was original.

yah it's quite obvious, one of the reason why MMLP > SSLP

The beats are the single main reason I think the SSLP is slightly overrated. The lyrics are razor-sharp and that's what really matters to me, but a lot of the tracks don't have much replay value and I very seldom bump it.
