I know this is some "Oranges are orange" sherlock type shit but its true as fuck, no matter how nice you are on the mic, how much better your production gets, you're never the same as when you're hungry, you sound different, your lyrics can get better, but you'll never have that vintage feel you used to have!!!
look at Nas, Illmatic was starvin! same with biggies Ready To Die!! this is what you dont feel with todays rappers cause they live a nice life, no matter how nice they are on the mic, there isn't any HUNGER, NEED for the shit!!! check this!

Best example of this I can give is Lil Wayne, seriously when that dude is hungry he can spit flames, but it's his watered down/less hungry work that people know him for!

Same with the Wu, from '93-97 EVERY Wu member was spitting like a starving Ethiopian, they get recognicion, hit the mainstream, lose their hunger, and from Wu Tang Forever - Supreme Clientelle they put out some awful records, not because they fell off, but because they lost their hunger!

Just look at Method Man, dude finally got his hunger back and was spitting heat on his verses on Cuban Linx 2 and Wu Massacre!
