It IS (I would presume) Recovery's version of We Made You or My Name Is. Its a lot darker, grittier, vulgar and metaphorically slaughtering, however.

Its not a bubbly celebrity bashing single, but he is swinging at some.

AKA: There is not too much overall meaning to the track, it seems. The intrigue is in the crazy, zany, complex metaphors and puns, rhymes and wordplay and flow. But maybe, once put in the context of the entire album, it will be deeper?

it a song full of punchline/metaphors. Em did it that way on purpose, as a matter of fact to an extreme sarcastically. In the first verse he mentions something about people thinkin he doesnt have enough metaphoric context in his raps, well he just proved it with Wont Back Down. I would suggest people not to judge songs without hearing the whole album in order. Thats how em albums work. they all come together

Em's verse are punchlines to showoff his lyrcal prowess and Pink's chorus is just saying 'I won't back down'. Basically, throw any hardship at me and I'll still be left standing.

I don't know if you know this about me, but NA is my favorite song now. I really like it more than lose yourself now. The part Not afraid... sounded annoying to me. But then I heard parodies of people saying not afraid.. not afraid... then it clicked. I like the part when he says take a stand and everybody and walk together. But now i also like Not afraid... so now NA is the best song of all time. I'm not kidding. It really is my favorite of all time now.
