it used tobe this thing we did when it was time.. when it felt right, cool people who contributed allot got vetted
now everyone acts like its a yearly thing ..
there is this sense of entitlement going on
all these newbies asking when they gonna be vets, or making polls about it
or all these people that joined in late '08 or '09 acting like they should be vet
just becuase they joined 1,5 year ago....

Not that it should be this way but there was a time were McMaybe was vetting a group of people every 2-3 months or so. I'm guessing that's why a lot of people expect to be vetted so often.

As I can remember, that was his plan. But it never happened. When has McMaybe been the kind of guy to fulfill/continue his plans.

Maybe Maybe (lol see what i did there) would have kept up with the 2-3 month Vet schedule if there were enough members worth vetting to warrant it, but he clearly saw after a couple of rounds that he had pretty much vetted most who deserved it, and that people who didn't deserve it were whining and complaining for it.

I don't even get the appeal, you don't get shit. Just access to an extra sub-section of the forum.
and trust me you won't be able to see yourself being talked about because we don't do that in Vet Section, we do it in the Mod section mwahaha

Yeah being voted Vet is very much a popularity contest to a degree; considering the whole forum votes on who gets vetted, popularity is bound to help.
