how do i aviod scam

I don't know if this belongs here but I am getting the jay z and eminem tickets for yankee staduim on criag list and im meeting the dude saturday. he is giving me the tickets for 250.00 but they was 350.00 but he lowered the price since i said i couldnt do 350.00 there section A6 row 1 in that section. He got them from live nation since his uncle works there so he was able to get them presale or something. how do I know the tickets arent fake? since they are now print out tickets. Does anyone know how to tell if a ticket is fake or do you have a print out ticket you can show me you holding it up or something so i can match it when i get mine?. any advice please. i really want to go and this is the cheepest i found for the best seats! he said he has the copy of the purchase form. but people can probably make that up too so i dont know. just don't want to get scammed and this is the only way I can go. :worship:

Why are you meeting him? I don't know much about craigslist but can you not do paypal and post? < That's suspicious to me first off. You're meeting him in a public place right? No private alley ways?

The ticket(s) has to have a silver sparkly thing and when you rotate the ticket the sun should reflect from it and multiple colors should show up on the silver thing.

couldn't you write some kind of check or somethin, so you can cancel it if u have to? idk i don't really trust people with that kinda money.

Not with the crew I have that is coming lol. trust me he wont. but its also better cuz then u can pay in cash and with pay pal they can get your credit card number and stuff. i just want to know how to tell if the print out ticket is fake.

Go with your crew where he lives. Knock on his door, he gives you ticket & you give him the cash. If it's fake, go to his house and.. you know the rest.
