Is em dissing 50?

Postby bozothe1 » Jul 31st, '10, 10:59

Evil Deeds:

So please god, give me the strength to have what it takes to carry on
Till I pass 50 back the baton, the camera's on, my soul is gone

You're never over:

I’m moppin the floors
With them, I keep tryna pass it, but they keep on droppin’ the torch

He was definitely trying to pass 50 the baton/torch during the Encore era and with Eminem not really having anything to do with 50 since em got sober and then to say that.. What do you think it is?

50 took Dre's side when Em found out who really killed Tupac, and thus they pretty much hate each other.
Norway, blah, blah, murder, blah, blah, blood.

:facepalm That's a lotta nonesense and argument fit in a single sentence.

If it was sarcastic though, then it's good. :y:

This will clear things up a bit.

What you wrote in that other thread is absolutely idiotic. There's nothing close to what have happened and honestly if you ever go to LA, you better have your mouth shot becuase people would first laugh at you and then fuck you up.
Dre left Death Row because this idiot Suge was stealing all the money and because he physically assaulted his half brother Warren G. Suge would put all of his artists in constant danger wanting the controversy that got Pac and Biggie killed, and he was one of the suspects as he first got robbed by the Southies and then for some reason got a connection with them. Snoop was heading towards life sentence exactly because of that Suge influence.
There's thousands more clues you don't know about so don't even bother to write this gibberish.
D Row sold all those records while Dre was on it, matter a fact his album the Chronic and Snoop's Doggystyle started this whole thing and are still considered as one of the best albums of all time.
The ohter dumb thing is that EM is still really close to Dre, while 50 doesn't get along with Dre anymore cuz he's back with Game, it is not the other way around. lol
I just don't have the time to epxlain in details how ridicilous that Dre got Pac killed thread is. :facepalm

You, sir, have been trolled the fuck over!

Yes I'm sure Em waited for 6 years to write a follow-up line to make a subtle 50 diss work.

Lmao. OF course not. On "Evil Deeds", that's a shout to 50, it's giving him respect by the fact he's even willing to consider 50 his successor. Pass him the baton to rule again.

As for the line on "You're Never Over" he's just saying they generically. As in people in the rap game, can't keep up or stay in position, can't rule consistently.

Honestly, I think it was an indirect statement. Perhaps he meant Hip Hop as a whole. He's saying that he disappeared for a while but feared not, because he had pass the torch to anyone that was willing to take it and keep Hip Hop in a respectable state.

Fast forward, all we have to show for it is Drake as being considered "The Best" rapper out. So yeah, I think Eminem was mad at Hip Hop in general. The game has become so water downed and for the most part, uninteresting, that when Eminem peeks his head back up we're REALLY grateful. And that's a shame. MC's with CLASSIC albums should be everywhere. We had no problem doing it in the 90's. It can still be done, but it's up to every MC to decide for themselves.

1) Risk my artistic integrity and make what's popular just so I can get paid and remain relevant?

OR

2) Make music with substance, fuck those who can't appreciate it, and thank those who do appreciate and still support financially, thus keeping me relevant and paid without risking my artistic integrity?

It's a huge decision for an MC in determining if he wants to sell out. Selling out can sometimes go horribly wrong. Abandon the old ship, the new ship sinks, and the old shipmates from before aren't willing to take you back. But yeah, I'm getting off point a bit. Interesting conversation nonetheless.
