I love You're Never Over

Postby MikeNUFC » Aug 4th, '10, 17:55

After initially disliking it, then liking it, then hating it I can say, without a doubt, I adore this track. It's pheneomal.

I dont know how I didnt like it at first. I just listened to it last night and I "got" it. I understand it completely. It's just so fitting. The chorus is absolutely perfect - I've even come to like the beat.

I love the whole "fuck making a sad song, I'm gunna make an uptempo, pacy track. Fuck cliched bullshit, this is for Proof". That sounded stupid as fuck but I know what I mean.

I also think the "doing this for Proof" idea is exceptional as well. I didnt like that at first but I understand exactly where Em's coming from now.

I'd go as far to say it's the best tribute I've ever heard. It's just so unqiue, so non-cliched.

Yeah, it's not exceptional lyrically, has some odd (I assume, jokes between Em and Proof) lines in there and has one or two weak punchlines but for me, this is the now the 2dn best track on Recovery.

Brilliant.

Do you mean because of the out-of-tune singing, or do you mean the overall idea of the hook ?

I love it too :flower:

The 2nd verse must be his most heartfelt verse from him, ever. And the lost boys sample is brilliant.

I love this track. Always have, always will. It's like Em is empowered by Proof's spirit.
