'Shit On You' should have been on MMLP

Instead of Under The Influence.

I think that was the original idea, cus in Em's book, on one of those notes, it has a list of songs with Shit On You is the same list as Who Knew, Kill You and others.

I guess that's why Em has 2 verses in it, as it was for his album. I love his verse on UTI but his verses on Shit On You are way better as are the other D12 members' verses, along with the song as the whole.

Once Em's verse finishes on UTI I skip it, whereas I listen to the whole of Shit On You (bar Biz's verses, naturally). Would have made MMLP that little bit better.

I guess he (or Interscope) chose it for Devils Night in the end to create more of a street buzz for that album, with two Em verses it would have been better promotion for an album that would have been less known than MMLP.

I like Under The Influence much better. I don't like any of the other rappers in D12 besides Em so they're verses don't matter much to me. I rarely ever listen to them. I think his verse on Under The Influence is much better then his two verses on Shit On You combined. The only part I like from shit on you is the first four lines of the first verse,
"Once I get on 2 hits of X
My disk slips and disconnects
Till I walk around this bitch with a twisted neck
But still shit on the first bitch who disrespects"

While on UTI there were tons of dope lines.
"Two pills I pop, 'til my pupils swell up like two pennies
I'm Clint Eastwood in his mid-twenties
A young ass man with a trash can strapped to the back of his ass
so the rats can't chew through his last pants
I'm like a mummy at night, fightin with bright lightning
Frightened with five little white Vicadin pills bitin him

Stingin the fuck outta everything I come across in the halls"

That whole part was insane.


I also hated how he tried to use the rhymes from Infinite again. They didn't sound nearly as good this time.

I actaully really like his verse on UTI - "I light a candle and place it up on the mantle/Grab a knife at the blade and stab you with the fuckin handle" - that's ridiculously good.

But, I just think as a song & Em's verse(s), Shit On You are better.

Plus it fits the theme way better - esepcially "A lot of people say misogynistic which is true/I don't deny it- matter of fact I stand by it/So please stand by at the start of a damn riot" - perfect for the whole concept of MMLP.

I think I'm just mostly turned off by his voice on Shit On You. I really don't know how to describe it but it sounds horrible

I love both but Shit on you gets the edge, its a shame shit on you didnt even end up on Devils night, that song was wasted not being on an album

IMO, Under The Influence was one of the weakest songs off MM LP. I felt they had way better songs on D12's debut album. I always felt like Fight Music should have been on the album over Under The Influence. The vibe of that song was so much better than Under The Influence. I think it would of fit perfectly on the album.
