I don't know how to rip recorded stuff off the Sky+ HD box onto my laptop. If anyone knows how to do it I will give it a go. ( I have a Macbook Pro by the way i'm not sure if that makes a difference if you need to use a certain program etc)

you need a tv card in ur pc, then plug in the video output from your set top box to ur video card port, and then use the program for it to record.

Theres no way for me to rip it from the Sky Box to the laptop. The files are encrypted. You can take the hard drive out of the sky box and use a program to copy the hard drive but this only to transfer it to a new hard drive if you want to upgrade your sky box hard drive but this program can't copy the files to view on your laptop later.

The only way to do it is to get a capture card which I don't have.
