Encore is one of the worst albums ever. Much much worse then Recovery.

Encore embarassed him and put a serious dent in his legacy as a musician. I don't get how anybody can get nostalgic for it. "Classic Eminem" was killed, shredded, slaughtered etc. on that album and substituted with a zombie. Relapse and Recovery did a lot to restore his credibility, career, integrity etc. But Encore was just a sad, sad business. I remember being so excited for the album and then basically gave up on being a fan for a few years because there was obviously something wrong with him...

the only songs on Encore i consider as favourites are the bonus songs and maybe Puke...the others don't get any repeats from me.

I'm a big pop fans and I'd personally still listen to a silly-lyrical Eminem song for entertainment but I can't listen to Big Weenies, My 1st single, Ass Like that... they're just bad musically overall. Now that's some really bad ones, the rest of Encore like Evil Deeds, Never Enough, Yellow Brick Road.. are from bad to average with very few highlights in Spend Some Time, Crazy in love, Mockingbird (though none is perfect, SST got ruined by shitty guests & CIL got some cringe singing)

Without question. It's beyond me if nobody told him it was crap, I guess some people around him were just sucking up while others smelled money.

I like a few of the songs but 'a few' doesn't make a whole album. I find it so annoying that future listeners are going to pick this album up when his other releases are lightyears ahead.

Although i agree that i prefer Recovery slightly, still.

Just because a concept is great does not mean you should give the album more credibility. Maybe if Encore actually fufilled its potential with its concept, yeah sure, but it didn't. Half of the album was complete garbage, My 1st Single, Big Weenie, Rain Man, Ass Like That, Spend Some Time (Great Eminem verse, horrible song overall due to other verses). And that stupid "Em Calls Paul" skit...God. There's no way I'm going to give it credit for providing it with like 6 good sounds out of a 20 track album.

I don't think so, according to BB200, since Recovery release some Eminem's albums that been re-enter the chart are Curtain Call (obviously), TES & MMLP. There's obviously not many ppl can say good things about Encore.

You need bad albums like Encore to see how great his other albums are. And, sometimes I like to listen to Rain Man and Puke just for the laugh. Those kind of songs are silly, but funny. Recovery is much, much better than Encore, but sometimes stupid side of Eminem is great. I can`t say that i Wish he never made Encore.
