I didnt know Eminem but i knew 50 cuz of the kinky Candy Shop video. They played How Come on my local radio station in 02-03 i think. I didnt even know if it was rap or not.

Then suddenly in 2005, i saw When Im Gone video on MTV, i was 13 and that was it. The lyrics were so simple yet so deep yo know?
After that, lots of googling and i was hooked.

Last Year. I had Lose Yourself, Without Me and Sing For the Moment. But i heard Relapse in my brothers car. He gave me all his cd's when i asked. And here i am now a year later, full-blown stan.

Suprised by how young some of these Eminem fans are on here. I guess in the future Eminem will have an impact on music similar to that of Michael Jackson where he is popular through different generations. That is aslong as Em continues to release music.

I've always liked his songs like Slim Shady or Without me,but i didnt really paied much attention as i wasn't really into hip-hop.I remember i had a period a while a go(damn i feel old lol) when i used to listen to some known rap songs like X-Xzibit,Dre-Ring ding dong,Still dre,Bang bang,Nas-hate me now and other bangers like that,when hip-hop was "in fashion" and everyone knew a bit about rap/hip-hop.But i got really into Eminem (and not only) march this year when i was browsing youtube and i found Beautiful(haven't heard of it till then ),then i browsed for more of him,then i ran into his collabs and i found more and more rappers i absolutly love

I heard it on a radio station in california when it first dropped. First explicit album i bought Dr. Dre 2001. I ended up buying the Slim Shady LP shortly after.

I became a true devoted fan around the MMLP era aka when The Real Slim Shady came out. The whole SSLP never appealed to my 14yr old self Remember the time when MTV would still play music videos? I saw The real Slim Shady for the first time ever on MTV! And as a non native speaker I remember that the feeling o actually understanding some of the puns in his songs was amazing!

Since I was little, My oldest sister had a tape with some songs off SSLP but mostly songs off MMLP and I used to play them everyday trying to memorize them even though I didn't really know the meaning behind them. I just knew I liked eminem.

Saw Forgot About Dre live on Top of the Pops in 1999.

Then heard The Real Slim Shady about 10billion times, then my bro got it on cassette and I listened to the My Fault (Pizza Remix) loads of times.

Never looked back.

I saw My Name Is in 1999 and loved the humor in the song, but wasn't sure if he was a serious rapper or not. I was 10.

Then I saw The Way I Am and Stan and was basically just in awe. Never heard a song that had that much of a clear, to-the-point message in it. I was officially a fan at that point. Then when TES came out I had my older brother burn a bunch of the songs from all his albums on a disc for me and I'd listen to Sing For The Moment all the time at school and stuff. Then i remember seeing the Lose Yourself video and that's when he became my favorite artist. As the years went on of course I listened to other things, some dumb shit I'd never listen to now...

As I got out of highschool and into my 20s I basically just listen to Eminem, Jay-Z, some Nas songs, underground rappers like Copywrite, and classic rock-pop stuff from the 60s-90s.
