Listen to Underground and Deja Vu and tell me if that's the same voice...

Yeah it has a higher inflection, and it's annoying. I hate that song.

at the time i thought he did over-use them, but looking back on it, i'm not sure

i'm actually listening to relapse right now for the first time since last june, it's a lot better than i remember it being, sounds like Em made the whole album in a few weeks while been in some kinda trance, plus the ''accent'' is refreshing after listening to Em's shouting delivery on Recovery - never thought i'd say that!

Yeah it has a higher inflection, and it's annoying. I hate that song.

Underground isn't really his normal voice either. It's his angry voice. Deja Vu is his flippant, sarcastic voice.

The voice sounds fine on both.

You hate the song because of the voice alone? :confusion:

Yeah but he's always angry so to me his normal voice is his angry voice.

And no, I had dislike the song but I think he forces the multis way too much and it ruins the song. They didn't come naturally in the song like with his old classics such as SFTM.

He only used his regular voice on Insane, Beautiful, and Underground.

I have never liked the accent, and any true Eminem fan (who didn't start listening to Em with Encore) should agree.

A lot of the times that people say Eminem's using an accent, he's just over enunciating words. Asher Roth did that a lot, but it's not like people say "Asher, stop spitting with an accent!". People just weren't used to hearing Eminem like that. I liked the accents personally.

Some of the songs it makes em sound better, Bagpipes from Baghdad being a prime example. I just wish he hadn't used that style for his comeback, honestly people didn't want to hear that shit after he's just spent 4 years out of music. Think we all expected better. When you look back you can appreciate Relapse (well, most of it) but at the time it was just annoying as shit i thought. The first couple weeks i was like "woo yeah eminem" then it sunk in started to think "hold on, this is actually fuckin stupid"

It doesn't sound forced at all. The delivery is laidback and the flow is smooth.

I suppose any time Eminem decides not to use the manly, angry voice it automatically sucks.

You like his horrid "One Day At A Time" verse and hate Deja Vu? :facepalm

Yes, I actually did like his One Day At A Time verse. I loved the way he delivered his lines, expecially

There will never be another me
And no matter what they do
There will never be another you
You can search but you'll never find
You can try to rewind time
But in your hearts and your minds
We will never die
We are forever alive
And we continue growing....

And Deja Vu was forced as fuck.

Maybe just a nice cold brew, what's a beer?
That's the devil in my ear I been sober a fuckin' year.
And that fucker still talks to me, he's all I can fuckin hear,
'Marshall come on we'll watch the game it's the Cowboys and Buccaneers'.
And maybe if I just drink half I'll be half buzzed for half of the time.
Who's that mastermind behind that little line?
With that kind of rational man I got half a mind,
to have another half of glass of wine sounds asinine, yeah I know.
But I never had no problem with alcohol.
Ouch look out for the wall aim for the couch I'm about to fall.
I missed the couch and down I go looking like a bouncing ball.
Shit must have knocked me out cuz I didn't feel the ground at all
Wow what the fuck happened last night? Where am I?
Man, fuck am I hungover, and god damn i got a head ache.
Shit half a vicodin why cant I?
'All systems ready for take off please stand by'.

That whole verse had forced rhymes

No it doesn't. His voice is just more upbeat (not an accent)...withdrawn from the dark images he's portraying. He's analyzing the events he's describing without from being "in them", which is the difference between that and GTC I'd say. The exception being the emotional chorus.

Regardless of whether he is using the accent or not the delivery sucks and is not his normal voice lmao

That IS his normal voice. Jesus Christ...did anyone on here actually hear the ALBUM version of Deja Vu? It's as if everyone just listened to a sped-up version on Youtube or something. Deja Vu is NOT "high pitched."

LOL, a fucking 8-year-old could write this shit. This sounds like lyrics from a corny '80s POP song.

There will never be another ME
I will be what I wanna BE
You can look but you'll never SEE
You can search but you'll never FIND
There will never be another YOU
Just as long as you stay TRUE
And do what you always DO

We will never DIE, we are ALIVE
Because we SURVIVE...

I never said it was amazing  I just like it. I'd probably give it a 7/10.

And Emineminsider, don't even respond to me you idiot
