I know people have different opinions, but I don't understand how you can listen to anything from the Encore era and conclude that it beats the majority of Recovery. Recovery is a very good album. Yes, with inconsistent/bad moments, but not at all comparable with the clusterfuck that was Encore.

This "version" of Encore would make the album a bit better. But that's still mediocre at best. Even the "top" songs from that era sound zombified and strange to me. Now he's shouting, doing accents, being corny etc., but he seems engaged with the material. And his songwriting is generally a lot better.

No, Recovery sounds zombiefied and strange. This Encore doesn't have any of the pill popping Em outside of a few songs.

Putting lipstick on a pig.

FYI: Most of those songs were pill era tracks.

FYI: Outside of Mosh, Evil Deeds and Never Enough, all of these are good songs.

Actually I don't listen to Mockingbird or Like Toy Soldiers. I said Deja Vu was overrated, not that it was bad. It's better than Mockingbird. Actually I don't listen to Eminem at all, I just made this thread for the fuck of it.
