Absolutely.
Encore was totally ruined by only a handful of songs. Just like Relapse was stopped being a classic by two songs which stuck out too badly to ignore.
Forever fucking up the memory, so annoying.
Of course even if all the tracks were on point Encore wouldn't of been the calibre of the previous three but it still would of been a decent album.
Decent tracks from Encore:
Evil Deeds,
Never Enough,
Yellow Brick Road,
Mosh,
Puke,
Rain Man,
Crazy In Love and
Encore.
Some people would probably question me putting "Puke" there and leaving off "Like Toy Soldiers". I like "Puke", it's so in your face and unashamed of itself. And the fact it's called "Puke", shouldn't the sound of it induce that association? I think it's appropriate of its own nature

. And it's catchy and mean, and spiteful. Badass.
As for 'Toy Soldiers', it's not a bad track but I just find it boring as fuck. It's by far one of the most uninteresting and tame tracks he's ever done. Tame in an artistic sense, so self-serious and... meh.
"Evil Deeds" and "Mosh" are awesome though and "Crazy In Love" has some of his best romance lyricism and some of his most poetic lines. 'CIN' > 'LTWYL'.
Again, quite annoying that it goes through such a good stretch, building into a sustainable album then he just seemingly gets bored and fucks around. Such a waste of a good concept too. The idea of him shooting the audience then himself for a theme / Encore was a great idea and the imagery really sets it off. Adds a much cooler ending chill to
The Eminem Show.
Original tracks would of made it so much better. And if he had properly focused on it and worked that concept more cohesively and deliberately, it could of been amazing. And it's so annoying after three classics to just ruin the run and forever ruin the 'partner' association album to
The Eminem Show.
