Newcastle were ridiculously bad today. Only Carroll can hold his head up.

Colo was all over the place and Campbell has to start - well, he will with that red card. Guthrie can NOT play on the right - why do we continue playing him there?! Shambles all over.

To make things worse, Dundee United's 90th minute equaliser cost me £43. Great.

Good to see Chelsea Lose

Good to see Rooney back

Good to see Man United win

Not good to see Leeds play poor but least they got a point away from home :y:

What did you think of his England debut the other night?

I think he is honestly (part) of the future of English football. I also have high hopes for Jack Wilshere too.

Capello said in the newspaper today that when Rooney is completely fit and well he wants to try, and can envision a England striking partnership of Carroll and Rooney. I think that would be a great combination.

I was impressed with his perfomance - didn't look out of his depth even with the pathetic amount of support he had from the midfield. Worked hard, won high balls and looked really confident - he's such a handfull.

I'd like to see Carroll up top with Bent/Defoe - that would work brilliantly.

Born ready.

To be honest I cant see us getting a result but I think Carroll will be a handful for Ivanovic/Alex.

It sure is gonna be an interesting game.

We won 0-2 @ St. James' Park back in 08/09 and in 07/08, but that doesn't mean anything, Newcastle have been playing really good recently, while Chelsea have been in a bit of a crisis.

Anyway, can't wait!

Actaully we've been poor of late (5-1 loss at Bolton, 0-0 to Fulham and 2-1 loss to Blackburn) but we're so unpredictable we could spring a suprise or get battered - we've played well against the top teams though (Arsenal, Man City, Villa, Man U)

I am excited for this one.

We haven't been any better, 3 losses out of the last 4 games.

Newcastle are likely to be without both of their first-choice central defenders Fabricio Coloccini and Mike Williamson.
