Careful What You Wish For is too self-indulgent in the intro. Nobody gave a shit about Eminem when all that shit was going on.

First verse is pretty cool...second verse is shitty. Chorus sucks.

My Darling...never liked it.

Eminem was clearly still in "working the drugs out of my system" mode on these songs.

The Encore/Illmatic comparison he makes... that ALONE is enough of a reason for Careful What You Wish For to not be included on any of his studio albums.

I always thought that line was a sarcastic/tongue in cheek line. Like he doesn't literally think that but the way people seem to rate and treat his previous albums is the idea behind that line.

Yeah he's talking about the way critics hate his album one year then love it the next. Using a bit of hyperbole.
