I prefer Wayne out of the 3, 50 has the best album (GRODT), T.I. is probably the most technically talented of the 3, but his albums are generally just ok, bad production on a lot of tracks...

So 50 has the best album and T.I. is the most talented? Then how the fuck did you pick Wayne as the best?

Ya know, with all the 50 hate on this forum, I'd figure people wouldn't vote for him. But, I guess that's not really the case

Imo
50 Cent had easily the greatest albums.Get Rich or Die Tryin and The Massacre are two of the best albums ever.
T.I is the most skilled of them.
Lil Wayne most overhyped. Some people give him the title 'Best Rapper Alive'.Of caurse this is ridiculous but it's a reality.

I select 50 because is closer in my view to a legendary status.

Because being "great" is a lot more than just one aspect. This thread is really all personal opinion, isn't it? Like, there's a ton of technically talented rappers who make shitty songs. Wayne, when at his best, makes incredible songs. Shoot Me Down and Tie My Hands off C3 for example. I can live with him putting out some stupid songs. I used to not like him, but then I read articles about his work ethic. The man is a monster, he lives in the studio. Literally. Wayne barely leaves his studio, and when he does, he's in the studio on his bus. For all the crap he takes for his lyrics, you can't dispute their originallity. Stuff he's said on his mixtapes, very few rappers can touch.

Just wait. 50 next album gonna kill!
I wanted an album so rugged nobody could touch it.
Spent a million a track and went over my budget.
Now how in the fuck am I supposed to get out of debt?
I can't rap anymore, I just murdered the alphabet.

Wayne has yet to make a classic song. Just because he "lives" in his studio doesn't give him a free pass to be shitty. And Wayne's lyrics are original? You have got to be fist fucking me. Every song is about drugs, money, or bitches.

Most of his lyrics are incredibly unique, he comes up with ways of phrasing things few others do. Those topics are covered by every rapper pretty much, from 2Pac to Kid Cudi. I agree he has shitty songs, but so do most musicians.
You can't tell me any of these songs aren't great:

I Feel Like Dying
I Miss My Dawgs
Hustler Musik (classic IMO)
Shooter
Love Me or Hate Me
Tie My Hands
Shoot Me Down
DontGetIt

Tha Carter II and Tha Carter III are great albums, great listenability and replay value.

I went through my Wayne hating phase too, then I realized I was just following a trend, it's the "in" thing to do. He isn't 2Pac or Eminem, but who said he has to be?

If you wanna talk about trends, then definitely being a fan of Wayne is the "cool" thing to do these days. Wayne doesn't get the hate he should be getting. I hate hate HATE when I hear someone blasting Wayne. It's an insult to hip hop to say Wayne is even a tenth of the MC that Eminem or Nas is. This isn't blind hate either, his music is THAT shitty to me. He has a handful of decent songs, out of his whole discography, and people just eat the shit up. It would take me less than 10 minutes, maybe even less than 5, to write a Lil Wayne song

T.I. is 10000 times better than Wayne, and T.I. is not exactly the best lyricist

Lol, i think its funny how clueless you are, im not the biggest Wayne fan nowadays, but Carter 2 is a close to classic or classic album, up there with the best of Eminems albums, Carter 1 is also extremely good for what it was. Dedication, Dedication 2, Drought 3 and Carter 3 session mixtapes are all super dope. Like that guy said those songs alone prove your wrong and this is a guy who gives 90% of his music away to fans. Also if you really think Eminem greatly outshined Wayne on their songs together your lieing to yourself, an insult to say hes 10th of an MC Eminem is? Lol...Sounds like you have personal issues with Wayne outside of music.

In your case hating Wayne is the "cool thing to do", you first heard Wayne when Lollipop came out right? Your the type of guy that would have heard Ass like that from Eminem and dismissed his whole catalogue if you hadn't found him earlier instead of checking for all the gems in his catalogue, Wayne has MANY.

Wayne's best albums don't compare to Em's, IMO, but he deserves respect. The only reason he gets constant hate is because of how popular he is. If he was "underground" he would probably just get props. His success is not a fluke, he has talent. His poularity and industry prominence is right up there with Em, Biggie, and 2pac. Do you really think someone with no talent could do that? It's not like he get's by on looks, he is a 5'6'' goblin with a weak jaw. Connections? Yes, but Baby is no Jay, Diddy, Suge, or Dre. And he's from the south, which is generally a negative in the rap industry. Why do you think he's the most featured artist? Why do you think Em, Jay, and even Nas wanted him on their albums? If you don't like his music, I understand, but to completely write him off is idiotic.
