Dunno what it stemmed from (pun not intended) but I thought it was kinda childish as well for Em to go after a paraplegic old guy that was either close to dying or probably died right around when he started dissing (I think around Encore he did)

Just wanted ppl's opinions on that, no bullshit......

Let's see, girl that's a superstar, is in good health, not about to die, played him so I understand the beefing......I think the Christopher Reeves shit is more fucked up and important. And I don't remember him on SSLP, maybe he mentioned him on a line or two, but ok.

He mentioned him obviously in a bunch of other punchlines/songs as well. Pretty much Encore was mostly about Michael Jackson & Christopher Reeves. He mentions him in Psycho w/ 50, and other shit as well.

As someone pointed out, he's ran this joke so far into the ground that it's still funny. I love it. His bit on Medicine Ball was hilarious. I'm pretty sure he's mentioned him on every solo studio album aside from The Eminem Show. I'm not positive though. Maybe he did. He even mentions him on Recovery a bit.

^^ Man, those Michael J. Fox lines always make me laugh. I'm not actually laughing at his disability, but at the fact that someone out there has the balls to go out and say it and not give a fuck. This goes for the Christopher Reeves lines.

No one would expect an artist to make fun of a paraplegic - which is the exact reason why Em does it. You think if Reeves hadn't been paralyzed, Em would've still gone at him? Probably not.

I don't know, I just don't find it funny at all. I can see how other people can find it funny but it just seems so tasteless to me.

Don't get me wrong, I'm all for shock value but I just think there's a certain line that you're not supposed to cross but I guess that doesn't apply to Eminem's music.

I hear ya, I felt kinda the same when I heard him ripping on Reeves on Medicine Ball. But I wasn't really...disgusted by it, just kinda shocked he'd actually mention a dead paraplegic.

Yeah, I was pretty shocked by that because I thought Em would at least have some respect for someone who died paralyzed but I remember him saying that he didn't know he was dead in a freestyle.

I'd honestly rather have him make fun of Michael Jackson in a song, I think it would be funnier because it would stir up a lot of controversy with all of the MJ fans haha.
