Isn't the GOAT =the artist that influenced music/people the most?I think that's the short definition of it,so most underground rappers wouldn't fit that concept.
Eminem,Jay-z,Snoop are def mainstream,Nas,Royce,Tech n9ne etc are somewhere between mainstream and underground,DZK,Chino,Celph Titled etc are def underground.Hard to actually choose one rap artist and say he is the best.Nas is right,it's a bit too early to actually name anyone the greatest.But each person can have their own GOAT and for me is Eminem,for someone else could be Nas or DZK

Back to his peak people consider Big Daddy Kane the best ever.Pac recognized as a rebel and people love him first for this and then for his music.
The reality with Tupac is that people called him GOAT after his death.Same with Biggie.Before then they were two talented MC's with a lot to prove in the future and especially if they have a course to sucess.Nobody is sure about that.

Impact?Eminem's impact was bigger 1999-2002 than Tupac's vs Biggie's 1994-1997.
Εminem made the world independent color to love Hip-Hip music because of him.Most People in Europe didn't give a damn about Hip-Hop,Tupac,Biggie and anyone.But Eminem changed that!Reality!

Albums ?Here is about taste but MMLP can easily be considered a GOAT candidate album.A lot of people believe that this album is the best in Hip-Hop history.

At the end Tupac is a Top-5 ever but how the hell is the GOAT?He hadn't all like Eminem.

It's pretty clear that the majority believe that Em was the GOAT between 99-02(03) the majority also agree that between said years he released material that no one else was touching, so i ask is that enough to merit him the GOAT or does 04-10 lesser material tarnish that title ?

For me it doesn't and i believe em's the greatest because before,during and after 99-02(03) no one has touched what em had then, and it isn't like 04-10 has been completely trash (bar encore) and most of it has been above average So yeah that's my two cents.
