How come in the beginning of the "When I'm Gone" video

Eminem's hair is black, but it is then blonde when he starts rapping. His hair was only black during the 8 mile era, and then he died it back to blonde. And he looks very different from the 8 Mile era in "When I'm Gone" And in order to get blonde hair black again, don't you have to wait until it grows and cut off the blonde part? I don't think they would've waited. So what do you think happened?
