REDMAN TO SHADY RECORDS? allhiphop.com rumor

http://bit.ly/fzxQqM REDMAN TO SHADY RECORDS?

I’m hearing something interesting. I heard that This is the last album that Redman is bound by on Def Jam Records. Yeah, he just released what seems to be a compilation of older song to create Reggie. Well, I am hearing that this is his last joint to his recording home. Sooooo…if you know anything, you know that Redman is Eminem’s favorite rapper ever. I am hearing that Redman is going to sashay over to Shady Records when all this Reggie promotional dust settles. It could be a great move. I would definitely applaud Eminem if he took on a wily vet like Redman.

All this above is from allhiphop.com under rumors could be all rubbish

Em, Red, Meth, Slaughterhouse, D12, Cashis and a couple of other up and comers would make an amazing roster for Shady Records.
I do stand up.

Someone here said Redman publicly declared he'd like to sign on Shady. Which would give more credit to the rumor. Cant find the link tho. :(

So, is this new rumour actually new or just a repeat?

Hope this just stays as rumour,Shady don't need old rappers like this, don't get it twisted,i like redman, but his time is pasted.what shady need now is to sign fresh hungry dudes like he did with 50 to keep hip hop moving.
Plus he will be a wasted investment, that dude won't even do 100k.

Yeah but it could also be a big thing for him / Shady if he could turn a rapper that's perceived as past it and never really made it mega-mainstream - If he could turn him into a huge artist at this point. It would be a great achievement.

Redman to Shady will be great! :worship:

Its new cuz Redman released a new (and his last at Def Jam) album yesterday called Riggie.
I wanted an album so rugged nobody could touch it.
Spent a million a track and went over my budget.
Now how in the fuck am I supposed to get out of debt?
I can't rap anymore, I just murdered the alphabet.

I would love it to happen. Redman is one of the illest emcees of all time and a emcee who has a similar entertaining style of rapping to Eminem.

I reckon he would get a much bigger budget for his albums at Shady Records as Eminem probably only want him to rap on some crazy beats. Imagine Redman on some Dr. Dre, Eminem, DJ Khalil and Mr. Porter stuff = great.

Yeah, he is old but age doesn't matter that much anymore. Years ago people thought of 30 as a good age to retire at, then it became 40 and now a lot of rappers are in the 40's and still going on (Rakim, Jay-Z, GZA, KRS-One etc.). At Shady Records, especially being around Eminem, he could find his second youth and new energy.

Also, the underground already know of Redman so his name doesn't require the same amount of promotion as new artists do.

That will be great if Em actually takes a break to work on Redman, Slaughterhouse, and D12 albums with Dr. Dre in the studio and a few Em verses would make three great albums
