because he won't make money for the label, simple as that. Interscope is a major label, when they put out albums they expect to gain money back.

Redman will sell a lot of records. He is a great rapper and if they put some catchy beats and guest verses from big rappers such as Eminem on the album, it is going to be something that a lot of people buy.

I don't see why it is less of a risk compared to signing a new artist? Redman already has a big fanbase, he just needs some people to promote his name so the mainstream will get to know him. At Shady Records he will be sourrounded by such people.

It's an amazing achievement that Em, who is approaching 40, has remained this popular after all this time. He definitely doesn't have the same impact he had 2000-2004, but as far as 2010 goes, Em is still extremely successful

Blackout 2 sold over 100k in its 1st week last year with barely any promotion, no doubt that Red can still push big numbers, he's more marketable than any signing Em has made since 50 Cent
