Rappers, what kinda mic(s) do u use?

The Blue Snowball, I been usin this mic for 2/3 years, whenever I did rap, and it got good reviews but idk how "good" it works compared to mics you can just hold in your hand that are easier, or mics that are smaller. Post/discuss.

it's all about how you power the mic too
with a preamp, audio interface, or mixer
for cheap you could get a USB Microphone
but in the end it's all about what your recording & how you mix it down

yeah but sometimes people pay more and don't read it, people just sell decent mics for more.

and yeah that's true. it's all about quality, like if you have the TV on, a fan/AC on, that destroys part of the quality, can't be havin nothin runnin really, and if you have somethin runny, it takes longer to get the quality good.

Great mic, only downside is the sensitivity. Definitely get a pop filter.

I payed 60 dollars for a condensor mic.
60 dollars for a behringer mixer (its really small) but works Great

to have your quality sound good.. u need to know how to mix, (includes Panning adlibs)
and Compression..

The most you should ever pay for is your computer.. I use a Desktop Acer Aspire.
anything new will have a decent soundcard in it...some computers youll need to mute the Internal mics they have. but after all that youv'e got a studio with decent to (depending on how good you mix) excellent song quality.

I'm not a fan of compression..
Sometimes the mix can limit itself when you run a second recording process..
I should give that blanket thing a try..I usually use egg cartons stuck to the walls..

Just wanted to point out while I still remember, it's a good idea to not have too much bass in your song..
Because the vocals can really distort hard when those types of frequencies pass it.
Even if you compress/limit it..
Your peaks should be mainly the snare and kick.
