so im in america, my country, but i should learn THERE language for when they come here? that dont even make sence, im not closed minded but this is our country not theres, they need to keep there language in there country. its people like you that probably think we should learn spanish to help the ILLEGLALS comming into our country...well fuck all that

ya, but it just dosnt make it hard for them, it makes it hard for us too..... becus my mom used to work at a general store, and the apartments across the street had a bunch of imigrants living there, and they always used to go to the store, but they didnt know english.... and it just created this whole akward and uncomfortable situation, cus they would cum in and ask for stuff, but my mom didnt know wat they were sayin, so she would have to call my sister who took spanish and ask.... but she didnt speak it fluently...... and it was just a big mess.

and last year my mom and i moved into those same apartments, and there was a laundry room..... and we would go down and wash r clothes than throw them in the drier, and go back to our apartment...... then, about 10 minits later we would go down and check to see if they were dry, and the mexican dudes would take our wet cloths out of the drier and use the money we put in there to dry there clothes....... and we know it was them cus we saw them, and i just think that took a lot of nerve :angry:

i dont know....... im just really pissed off about everything.

im try'n to say it be wrong to force a language on some1 no matter where they come from.. should be required.. im not say'n it wouldnt help it would be very helpful for them to learn the countrys language.. but to force something on someone and say their worthless if they dont know it is bull shit!! that all it is...

look up what a national language decree actually does...
no one is forced to learn the language, it is just an official bill that says "america oficially speaks english." i guess you could say we would be forcing some people to learn engligh when they decide to enter this country LEGALLY, but they should. why is it a bad thing to make them learn engligh? no one really says WHY it is bad, all you do is say it is...
culture is not lost, they can speak there native tongue along with engligh
it physically dosent hurt a person to learn it
it would open up otherwise unacceccable opportunities
it would help create a universal conversational method
it would help end some racism as atleast we could communicate together then

why is it bad? and for the love of the worlds one god do not say culture, think of something that is actually serious...everyone loses culture daily and still lives

Umm whats wrong with being told to blend into society ? If your gonna be a citizen of a country learn to speak the language. Only exceptions is if your mentally retarded and its hard enough to speak your own language, or if your old.

The reason we have all this terorist probelms and bullshit is because people come to a country and dont feel they need to blend in. So i say, fuck those people who dont wanna try to learn the language of the country where they have decided to take up residence. We have no need for lazy people like that to come into the country, we all ready have enough lazy fat asses as it is.

I am not saying to not allow people not to speak their own language. But they should know the language.
